The GBC Mongrel is built to handle today’s UTV/SXS that feature greater
horsepower and speed capabilities. Sporting 10-ply rated radial construction
to support larger max loads and a reinforced sidewall for greater puncture
resistance, the Mongrel is ready to overcome the toughest off-road obstacles!
Its full coverage tread pattern wraps around the tire creating a rounded profile
that increases performance and responsiveness. In addition, the Mongrel’s
tread promotes self-cleaning to maintain maximum traction in a variety of
terrains.

Are the tires DOT approved? Sue asked on August 17, 2023

Hello, no they are not. As of 2022 there is no regulation, classification, or guideline that would make or allow any ATV/UTV tire "street legal" or approved by NHTSA or DOT. NHTSA/DOT has notified tire manufacturers to remove the "DOT" stamp if present from ATV/UTV tires being manufactured moving forward. Tire dealers have also been told to stop advertising or describing any ATV/UTV tires they sell as DOT "approved", "rated", "compliant", etc. In our listing under specifications, it says "DOT Compliant: No".

27" diameter off the rim. On the rim diameter: We do not have one of these tires inflated/mounted or any manufacturer info on that, so unfortunately we cannot provide you with an on rim diameter.
